Tom Daschle to address future of healthcare at special SIR 2017 symposium

Former US Senate majority leader Tom Daschle will headline a special 9 March symposium “IR Economics, Quality and Value: Are You Ready For MACRA?” at the Society of Interventional Radiology’s 2017 annual scientific meeting in Washington, DC, USA.

Daschle will provide insight on healthcare reform, federal policy, and the healthcare priorities of the incoming Trump administration, information from the society states.

In addition, Rep. Brett Guthrie, R-Ky., will deliver a lunchtime keynote offering a congressional perspective on the Trump administration’s healthcare reform agenda. Guthrie serves on the House Energy and Commerce Committee Health Subcommittee.

This special symposium aimed at preparing interventional radiologists for Medicare payment reform will also provide attendees a detailed overview of the new IR Registry, reporting under the new Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) and proven tools for interventional radiology practice management.
